Section 12(1) of the Companies Act, 2013 states that a company shall have a registered office within thirty days of its incorporation which can receive and acknowledge all communications and notices.

Change of registered address within the same city.
The business must first call a board meeting and pass a resolution regarding it. The business must submit a form INC22 to the MCA. It must be submitted 30 days after the board resolution has been approved.
Change of registered address one city to another city in same state.
Suppose the company wants to change the registered office from the jurisdiction of one ROC to another then the company has to apply for the approval of the Regional Director as prescribed in Form INC-23. After the Regional Director confirms the change the same confirmation must be filed with the ROC within 60 days.
Change of registered address one state to another state.
To move the registered office from one state to another and change the company's MOA, a Special Resolution must be approved by the company at the EGM. Form MGT-14 must be submitted to the ROC within thirty days of the Special Resolution's approval, which will change the registered office and the MOA.
